ROCK 'N ROSE ♥

Hey girlies! I apologise for the lack of blog posts lately, I've had a few issues to deal with. Today I thought I'd introduce you to Rock 'N Rose for those who haven't heard of them! They're pretty amazing, selling gorgeous jewellery and luxurious headwear seen on beautiful celebs, such as Pixie Lott, Una from The Saturdays, Esther from X-Factor's Belle Amie (among many others!) and featured on some of the top magazines, including Grazia, Closer, Cosmopolitan, Look and Vogue- you go girls!
-

I've recently had the honour of guest blogging for Rock 'N Rose- do check out their blog for exclusive offers and exciting behind-the-scenes photographs from their amazing shoots! You can also check out my (albeit fairly lengthy!) blog post here :)
-

In return, they added £20 to my account as store credit and with that I purchased myself this beauty. I've always loved cameo necklaces, especially when they're Goddess or fairy-like but what I particularly loved about this Grecian Goddess Cameo Locket Pendant necklace was that it was brass/antique gold and the locket itself was fairly big- not your standard size!- leaving plenty room for those special keepsake photos.

Here's a few photos so you can just see how stunning it is for yourself, I opted for the long chain:
-

Beautiful, huh? :) What's so special about cameo necklaces is that you can wear them with absolutely anything: dresses, cardis, tops, playsuits- anything!

I thought I'd also share with you some of my Rock 'N Rose favourites, say hello:

If those aren't enough to tempt you then I don't know what is! You can find Rock 'N Rose on Facebook, as well as Twitter where you can enter exclusive competitions and be the first to know about their super cool offers and promotions!

(Psst! Rock 'N Rose are currently offering 20% off headwear with discount code weheartheadwear. But hurry, offer ends midnight tonight!)

So recently I have been privileged to receive 3 Versatile Blogger Awards and 2 Stylish Blogger Awards so this post is to return the favour, as well as let you in on some random facts about myself and bring your attention to some other worthy blogs :)

❂ [7 random facts about myself]
I was born in France, Versailles, and moved to England on my 7th birthday
I have an older sis aged 23, and a younger brother aged 17
My Mum (who's 41) often gets mistaken for my sister or someone who's in her late 20s!
I've known my oldest best friend since I first moved to England, so for nearly 15 years
I graduated from the University of Liverpool with a law degree
I was a guest blogger for Republic in October- you can view my posts here ;P
I am one of the world's biggest chocoholic but hate hot chocolate!

[10 Questions]

1. Why did you create this blog?
- I decided to create this blog after a lil' encouragement from the lovely Nat @ Missguided. She saw I that enjoyed fashion and since I didn't have a job at the time could maintain a blog that would benefit me in more ways than one. It is something I thought about doing in the past but never got around to it, especially because I had no-one pushing me to so I'm glad she told me that :)

2. What kind of blogs do you follow?
- I follow all kinds of blogs! Some revolve around photography while others are centred on fashion & beauty. Then there are those that are focused on domestic stuff such as cooking or interior design/home decoration so they are pretty varied!

3. What's your favourite make-up brand?
- Hmm, I can't say I really have one! I love Rimmel, Bourjois, No 7, Maybelline etc. but at the moment every single bit of make-up I use has been purchased from E.l.f. Comestics because not only is it great quality and cruelty-free but it's cheap as chips too! Check them out if you haven't already done so :)

4. What is your favourite clothing brand?
- on the high street I mainly shop at Republic, Miss Selfridge and I used to shop at New Look but I also love Topshop, Next, Dorothy Perkins etc. My favourite on-line stores, however, have to be AsosMissguided and Boohoo!

5. What's the one make-up product you can't live without?
- eyeliner! It was a toss between concealer and eyeliner but my eyes look too bare without eyeliner and while concealer might hide/minimise the bags under my eyes, at least eyeliner shapes and eyes definitions to my eyes so :) I switched from Collection 2000's liquid eyeliner to E.l.f. Cosmestic's mineral eyeliner because it's so easy to apply but gives the same, if not better, effect.

6. What's your favourite colour?
- that's one question that I always hesitate in answering! And it often depends on what we're talking about. For instance, I love red clothing, red lipstick, red unwear etc. but I prefer my bags and files to be a different colour. I can't say I have one specific favourite colour, I love pretty much all of them! While I don't really like the colour brown, however, I do love brown cardis and brown boots so therein lies the contradiction!

7. What's your favourite perfume?
- Oo I have loads! I love Versace by Versace Woman; Diamonds by Emporio Armani; Lady Million by Paco Rabanne; Dior Addict by Dior; Covet by SJP; Elle by Yves Saint Laurent; Delicious Night by DKNY (which is my current fragrance) and lots more that I can't think of from the top of my head!

8. What's your favourite film?
- I honestly can't say I have! I can tell you the genre I detest though, if you'd prefer? I hate sci-fi films :P I once had to endure Alien vs Predator in the cinema and boy was that torture!!

9. What country would you like to visit and why?
- There are a few cities and countries that I'd love to visit and those include New York City (or any other place in North America!), Italy, Barcelona, Canada, Germany, Cyprus (or just Greece in general), Brazil and Switzerland. Hell I want to travel the world!! I've already visited France (obviously, and I also used to visit Paris every weekend), the Republic of Ireland and India so it would be nice to just visit any other place around the world.

10. (Come up with your own question) Erm, can you actually put mascara on without leaving your mouth open??
- Yes, I actually can!! I believe it's a myth that every girl/woman naturally has their mouth open when they apply that kind of make-up!
❂ [7 blogs I would love to nominate]

I do honestly believe that these blogs are all worth checking out because they're all quite different from each other and have something new to offer so please do have a moogle and follow them if you wish :)

*HAPPY NEW YEAR* ladies!! ^_^
I hope you all welcomed *2011* in style! ;)

Today I'm gonna highlight some of Republic's amazing sale buys! I love this online store, so much so that half of my wardrobe is in fact from Republic! Now if you're anything like me you'll hate the hustle and bustle of sales- the fierce stampedes, the elbowing fellow shoppers to ensure you get your mits on that perfect dress before they do, and the general rushing, grabbing and ridiculous queueing for something that I really have no patience for! haha

So thank God for online shopping!! I have to say it's one of my little havens. To shop amazing deals from the comfort of your own home is such a great feeling, especially during the run up to the festive period where you can usually enjoy free delivery as well as bag yourself a bargain- brilliant!

So without further ado, here's my pick of the best Republic sale goodies that you may want to check out- most of which are still available to buy in-store, in lots of sizes!
